Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is used to treat disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the consequence of these disorders on general health. Dr. Russell treats neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including: back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, headaches and more using energetic touch to move energy, as well as spinal manipulation that is both non-forceful and traditional.

Chiropractic services are a drug-free, concrete approach to health care that incorporates a thorough examination, diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Russell has extensive indicative skills and is educated to advocate for therapeutic and rehabilitative movements as well as present other holistic approaches.

The intention of movement is to re-establish joint mobility and apply by hand a controlled energy into joints that have become restricted in their movement as an outcome of a tissue injury. Dr. Russell will also fire-up non-active muscles. This is all applicable whether the injury or shut down is caused by a single traumatic event – such as improper lifting of a heavy object, through repetitive stresses or emotions. Damaged tissues undergo physical and chemical changes that can cause inflammation, pain, and diminished function for any individual. Fine-tuning of the affected joint and tissues, restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal.

Chiropractic adjustments rarely cause discomfort. However, patients may sometimes experience soft tenderness or soreness following treatment (as with most forms of exercise) that usually resolves within 12 to 48 hours.

Dr. Russell will assess patients through clinical examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging if deemed required and other diagnostic interventions to determine when chiropractic treatment is appropriate or when it is not appropriate.
